The low-Earth orbit constellation delivers fast, low-latency internet service to locations where ground-based internet is unreliable, unavailable, or expensive. The first phase of the constellation consists of five orbital shells. Starlink is SpaceX’s internet communication satellite constellation. Starlink Group 5-5 will mark the fifth launch to this Starlink generation 2 shell this is not the same shell 2 as Starlink generation 1, despite being gen 1 satellites. Starlink Group 5-5 will mark the 76th operational Starlink mission, boosting the total number of Starlink satellites launched to 4,160, of which ~3,858 will still be in orbit around the Earth once launched. The Falcon 9 will lift off from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40), at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, in Florida, United States.
